Bev’s Glamour Portrait Shoot

A few weeks ago I got an email from my former landlord, Bev, after she took a look at my portrait portfolio.  She wanted a couple portraits of herself.

I gave her a call to find out more. Bev was tired of the snapshots she had of herself where she didn’t look the way she felt. She wanted portraits that would show her as the relaxed, down to earth, kind and sophisticated woman she is.

She had received a recommendation for a different portrait studio but was worried that their low pricing meant that she would not get the care and attention to detail she wanted.

Bev wasn’t quite sure what to wear at her photoshoot, so I came by for a wardrobe consultation. We had a lot of fun going through her closet and putting together new outfits that showcased her personality and style from casual to sophisticated.

The next week we met at the Tyme natural light studio for a half day pampering session and glamour photoshoot. Shandin of Erin Smylie Makeup gave Bev a full makeover and styling while we sipped on cappuccinos and laughed.

Bev was a real natural in front of the camera and photographed beautifully. She had been a child model for her father’s advertising campaigns when she was just a little girl and it showed! We are busy designing a framed custom collection of her favorites for a new family wall gallery.
